VibeQA alternative: keep your app working after every change
Short answer
VibeQA (vibeqa.io) is a quick way to scan a live page for security and quality problems. If you also need to know that signup, login and checkout still work after your coding agent's latest change, TestChimp covers that part, and the two work fine side by side.
What VibeQA does well
You paste a URL and get a security and quality report in under 60 seconds. It looks at things like headers, broken links, mobile layout, speed and console errors, and each finding comes with a "copy as prompt" fix you can hand to your coding agent. The free plan gives you 3 scans a day. Pro is $49 a month and adds scheduled daily scans and a scan on every GitHub push. Team is $149 a month. See the VibeQA homepage and pricing.
So VibeQA does repeat checks on its paid plans. It's a solid tool for what it checks.
Where a scan stops
A scan works through a fixed list of checks against your page. It doesn't know what your app is meant to do, so it can't tell you whether a user can still sign up, book a slot or pay after yesterday's prompt. VibeQA is upfront that it doesn't write tests. Its site says "no test-writing. Ever."
That's a reasonable choice for a scanner. It just means the "does my app still work" question needs something else.
What TestChimp adds
- Your main user flows are written down as plain markdown in your own git repo, so you and your coding agent can both read them. See TestChimp pricing and FAQ.
- Your coding agent writes the tests for those flows and keeps them up to date. They're standard Playwright code and they live in your repo too.
- After each change, TestChimp checks your flows and hands your agent a short list of what's broken or not yet checked.
- You approve what changes. Nothing lands without you.
Side by side
| VibeQA Pro (vibeqa.io) | TestChimp Indie | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $49 a month | $42 a month, billed annually ($50 monthly) (pricing) |
| What it checks | A fixed list on your live page: headers, links, mobile, speed, console errors | Your own user flows, against what the app is meant to do |
| Writes tests | No, by design | Your agent writes and maintains them |
| Repeat checks | Daily schedule and every GitHub push | Every change your agent ships |
| Who fixes | You paste the fix prompt into your agent | Your agent gets the fix list, you approve |
Use both
Run a scan for headers, links and speed. Keep TestChimp running for "does it still work". They answer different questions.
Try it
Try TestChimp free for 14 days, no credit card needed. If you want it to keep checking on every change after that, Indie is $42 a month billed annually, for 1 project with 250 ChimpHands credits a month. See TestChimp pricing.
FAQ
Is TestChimp a VibeQA replacement?
Not exactly. If you only want a security and speed report, VibeQA does that well. TestChimp is for keeping your user flows working as the app changes.
Does VibeQA check my app on every change?
On Pro, yes: daily scans and a scan on every GitHub push. The difference is what gets checked, not how often.
Do I have to write tests myself with TestChimp?
No. Your coding agent writes and maintains them, and you approve.
Which VibeQA is this?
